Ukraine reports mass drone and missile attack, main direction Kyiv region; 98 UAVs downed/suppressed

Ukraine's General Staff reported that from the evening of 4 Aug into the night of 5 Aug, Russia launched a large attack including 115 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other drones, with the main direction toward Kyiv region. As of 08:30, Ukraine said air defenses downed/suppressed 98 hostile UAVs, while impacts were recorded at multiple locations and the attack was ongoing.
