DARPA to launch Lift Challenge heavy-lift drone competition in Dayton, Ohio

DARPA will hold its inaugural Lift Challenge, a weeklong competition to demonstrate a drone capable of lifting and transporting a payload four times its own weight. The event begins Aug. 2 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, with public days and a livestream starting Aug. 3.
