French Rafale fighters shoot down drone over Latvia during NATO Baltic Air Policing mission

French Air and Space Force Rafale fighters deployed to NATO Baltic Air Policing from Šiauliai Air Base were scrambled after a drone entered Latvian airspace and shot it down over an uninhabited area. Latvian authorities reported alerts in eastern districts and said the drone entered from Russia before being downed over Berzgale parish in Rēzekne district.
