Hermeus unveils Ramjet-X air-launched test vehicle carried by Quarterhorse high-speed drone

Hermeus announced Ramjet-X, an expendable ramjet-powered test vehicle intended to be air-launched at about Mach 3 from its reusable Quarterhorse unmanned aircraft to enable repeatable high-speed flight experiments. The concept is positioned as a lower-cost, higher-cadence approach to hypersonic-relevant testing for Hermeus and potential external customers.
