Pentagon solicits unmanned surface vessels able to launch small attack drones under SWAP-USV program
The U.S. Defense Department, via the Defense Innovation Unit, issued a solicitation for market-ready unmanned surface vessels integrated with at least two small UAVs capable of detecting and defeating maritime threats. The SWAP-USV prize challenge aims for rapid fieldable capability within 120 days and includes phased testing from fall 2026 through summer 2027.
