Rebels in Mali reportedly shoot down Russian Shahed-136 strike drone on 18 May
A Telegram post claims local rebels in Mali shot down a Russian Shahed-136 (also referred to as Harpiya-A1) on 18 May. The post says this is the first confirmed use of this drone type in the Sahel region and that the downed drone was a newer modification with an airburst function.
