Satellite imagery shows Russia expanding launch infrastructure for long-range Geran strike drones
An investigation citing commercial satellite imagery says Russia has built or expanded at least 10 sites with dedicated launch rails for long-range one-way attack drones, including longer rails assessed for newer Geran variants. The report says open-source tracking indicates several of these sites have already been used to launch attacks on Ukraine, increasing Russia’s capacity to stage larger drone salvos from dispersed locations.
