Senator claims Al Udeid Air Base and US embassy Riyadh damaged by Iranian drone strikes

Sen. Chris Murphy said Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar suffered damage from drone strikes during the Iran war and that he was denied access to view the damage. He also said two Iranian drones struck the U.S. embassy in Riyadh on the day a March 2026 travel advisory was issued, causing fire and building damage with no reported casualties.
