South Korea boosts defense budget, expands drone swarms, loitering munitions and counter-drone plans

South Korea announced an 8.2% defense budget increase that includes expanded investment in unmanned technologies, including drone swarms, reconnaissance drones, loitering munitions, and a counter-drone system. The plan also includes training 500,000 “drone warriors” and funding MUAV medium-altitude reconnaissance drones.
