UK to deploy autonomous mine-hunting drones and counter-drone systems for Strait of Hormuz mission

The UK announced it will contribute autonomous mine-hunting equipment and counter-drone systems, alongside Typhoon jets and HMS Dragon, to a future defensive multinational mission aimed at securing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The mission would become operational when conditions allow, backed by new UK funding for mine-hunting drones and counter-drone capabilities.
