Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao said the MQ-25A Stingray has reached Milestone C and is moving into low-rate initial production and deployment. The carrier-based unmanned aircraft is intended to provide aerial refueling to extend carrier air wing range and free F/A-18E/Fs for strike missions.
