USAF X-62A VISTA uses AI and IRST pod to autonomously intercept a T-38 in Have Heat tests

The U.S. Air Force and Lockheed Martin reported that the X-62A VISTA (modified F-16) used an AI agent with an IRST Legion Pod to spot, track, and autonomously intercept a live T-38 target. The Have Heat effort included eight flights and 27 AI-controlled intercepts at Edwards Air Force Base.
