AEVEX unveils Specter jet-powered modular one-way drone concept

AEVEX publicly displayed its new Specter jet-powered, attritable autonomous drone concept with modular nose sections for interchangeable payloads (warhead, EW, ISR) and planned ground- and air-launched variants. While not yet fielded (first flight planned for 2026), it represents a push toward low-cost, high-speed, multi-mission ‘cruise-missile-like’ UAVs that can be produced at scale and adapted via software-defined interfaces.
