Anduril unveils Steelfin modular surface-to-air interceptor missile family

Anduril introduced Steelfin, a two-stage surface-to-air interceptor family built around a common terminal-stage architecture (shared avionics/software/airframe) with swappable boosters, seekers, and hit-to-kill or blast-frag endgame options. The novelty is a modular, open-architecture interceptor concept aimed at high-volume, lower-cost production and compatibility with existing launchers (Mk41 VLS, Patriot M903A2, Typhon) and fire-control networks (AEGIS, IBCS), potentially easing air-defense magazine depth constraints.
