Anduril announced Steelfin, a configurable two-stage surface-to-air interceptor family designed around a common architecture to enable multiple variants with shared parts, avionics, and software. The novelty is the modular, mass-producible approach aimed at rapidly scaling air-defense interceptor output while remaining compatible with existing launchers (Mk 41 VLS, M903A2) and fire-control systems (AEGIS, IBCS). If fielded, it could reduce cost and accelerate replenishment of interceptor stockpiles under high-demand conditions.
