Klein announces MANTIS UUV side-scan sonar with integrated SmartArray

Klein Marine Systems unveiled the MANTIS UUV side-scan sonar for autonomous underwater vehicles, integrating electronics directly into the transducer array to reduce size/weight/power for space-constrained UUVs. It adds multi-channel sonar with onboard real-time processing (dynamic focusing/adaptive beamforming) to support higher-tempo autonomous missions and mine countermeasure route surveys.
