Lithuania joins Norway modular standardized vessel program for post-2030 fleet

Lithuania signed an MoU to adopt Norway’s standardized, modular multi-role vessel concept as its preferred replacement for legacy naval assets after 2030, potentially buying up to four ships with mission payload packages. The innovation is the move toward a common allied “international class” hull with containerized, plug-and-play mission modules to improve interoperability and reduce lifecycle/logistics burden across partners.
