MARTAC’s 38-ft T38 Devil Ray unmanned surface vessel reportedly executed a fully autonomous 192-hour open-ocean mission without chase boats, including COLREG-compliant collision avoidance and station-keeping in up to Sea State 5. The demo also tested deliberate single-engine operations to extend loiter time and validated an endurance-focused range claim of 2,400+ nm, indicating a maturing autonomy/endurance profile for persistent maritime operations.
