Northrop MRV robotic servicing spacecraft raises dual-use ASAT potential

Northrop Grumman is launching its Mission Robotic Vehicle (MRV) with two robotic arms designed for close-proximity satellite servicing in GEO (inspection, towing/relocation, and installing Mission Extension Pods). The same rendezvous-and-proximity operations plus robotic manipulation are inherently dual-use and could be adapted for offensive counterspace missions (e.g., damaging components or towing satellites into degrading orbits), making it a noteworthy emerging capability even if framed as commercial servicing.
