Raytheon is developing a new Coyote Block 2 variant (Block 2C+RM) that replaces the turbojet with a solid rocket motor and adds a new seeker and warhead. The change is intended to significantly improve speed, range, and terminal intercept performance against faster, more capable one-way attack drones, pushing the system closer to a small surface-to-air missile role while retaining compatibility with existing launchers.
