Russian Kosmos 2612 shadows ICEYE SAR satellite in close-proximity orbit

The post describes Russia’s Kosmos 2612 conducting deliberate rendezvous-and-proximity operations (RPO) to closely shadow the ICEYE-X36 commercial SAR imaging satellite, reportedly approaching to tens of meters. This indicates an operational counter-space capability (inspection/possible interference or attack positioning) aimed at satellites supporting Ukraine’s targeting and ISR, signaling escalation in space-domain tactics.
