Taiwan Han Kuang drills add US-style backbrief and internet throttling

Taiwan’s Han Kuang exercise is introducing a U.S.-modeled “backbrief” method to improve mission-order comprehension and coordination, alongside deliberate mobile internet speed reductions to test civilian communications under degraded bandwidth. It also adds embedded reporters to rehearse frontline information release and counter-disinformation processes, reflecting a shift toward more realistic command-and-control and societal resilience doctrine.
