Ukraine’s Fire Point develops low-cost FP-7.X ballistic missile interceptor (Freyja)

Ukrainian strike-drone maker Fire Point is partnering with European firms (e.g., Hensoldt) to build the FP-7.X “Freyja” ballistic-missile interceptor system, aiming for sub-$1M per intercept and mass production. The company reports an early-June flight test and targets end-2027 for first ballistic intercept, representing a notable push toward cheaper, scalable BMD compared with Patriot PAC-3 costs.
