US Army Janus program to deploy on-base nuclear microreactors

The US Army selected five firms to build contractor-owned microreactors on major installations to provide resilient baseload power independent of vulnerable civilian grids. This is a logistics/energy-resilience innovation aimed at sustaining power projection and supporting high-demand systems (EW, counter-drone, directed energy) during grid disruption or fuel supply constraints.
