US Navy fields SEWIP Block 3 EW on two more DDG Flight IIA destroyers

USS Chung-Hoon and USS James E. Williams entered the fleet with the SLQ-32(V)7 SEWIP Block 3 electronic attack system as part of DDG Modernization 2.0. The novelty is the expanded fleet rollout of a modern shipborne EW/EA suite (and associated combat-system upgrades) delivered on an accelerated timeline, improving survivability and counter-targeting against modern RF threats.
