USAF seeks low-cost target drones to mimic stealth jets and other threats

The U.S. Air Force issued an RFI for a new family of attritable target drones able to replicate a wide range of airborne threats, including supersonic/high-G fighter profiles with low-observable RCS, multispectral IR signatures, active RF emissions, and even integrated electronic attack. If realized, this would significantly expand realistic, scalable training and weapons-test targets beyond current subscale BQM-167A and expensive QF-16 full-scale targets.
