USMC Ancillary Surface Craft (ASC) medium landing craft revealed

Photos show the first US Marine Corps Ancillary Surface Craft (ASC-1), a new medium landing craft intended to support distributed littoral operations (EABO) by moving troops, vehicles, and supplies shore-to-shore without relying on large naval assets. Notable features include a forward-looking sonar for safer landings on uncharted beaches and a fuel delivery/transfer system for vessel-to-vessel or vessel-to-land refueling, improving sustainment and flexibility in contested littorals.
